email hyperlink help

I am trying to Hyperlink an attached image to a web site
Each time I select the image and add the link it replaces the image with the copy only and the images is deleted as an attachment.

Please Help.
I tried to search this subject so if I am repeating I did make the effort. Sorry for any redundancy.

I do not quite understand, you're making the site and try to insert a picture there or do you want to pour it on a forum then?
If the first, then use the tag
<img src ="folder/pictures_name" width="323(for example)" height="400>

Sorry, Let me explain properly.

I would like to have the image in my e-mail act as a link to my blog.
I have received emails from friends & companies that act like a portal. If you clik on the image it takes you to a page on the web. I have a friend who did it for me on her dell but I can not figure it out in my e-mail. If I select the image and "hyperlink" it removes the image and adds the link in text. I would like to have the invite/ad take them to a place where my gallery and catalogs are.
