I just bought a 13" macbook pro, with 4 gb RAM and the 250 hard drive. I was told by the guy at the store that my laptop would be loading pages faster than i could even imagine, so I was really excited for this new speed. It can't even load a page faster than my stone age dell desktop. Can anyone explain this to me? Is it my home wireless, or some poor choices in hardware on my part? Please I don't know much about computers at all, so any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi there,

What speed is your home connection running at? What spec was your Dell?

I'm guessing it's your internet connection...the MacBook Pros are pretty fast computers, especially when it comes to internet surfing.

It's definitely your internet connection - do a speed test with one of the online utilities. If pages are loading at the speed of your stone age desktop, it means your internet connection is a joke.
