Hello,

So I am trying to help a friend replace his current monitor with a bigger one, but i've noticed that when I do the switch, and power up the Mini, the monitor does not display anything. No log in screen or boot up to view.
I checked the cables to see if any were damanged, but it looks like it's in good condition. Though I did try to hook it up to a macbook and same result.
So I hooked up his monitor back and pushed the bigger monitor aside. It's a mac monitor too.

This monitor did work a few weeks ago, not sure what happened during that time frame. Any one have any suggestions?

Your Mac's Specs
Mini (2014, 2018, 2020), MBA (2020), iPad Pro (2018), iPhone 13 Pro Max, Watch (S6)
Are they connected the same way (VGA, DVI, etc.)? Have you tried the monitor with another computer to ensure that it in fact does work?

Solved my own question...

Turns out the power adapter..it was plugged into the older monitor's power adapter and didn't get enough wattage.
We replaced it with the power adapter for the bigger monitor and it powerd up fine.
