Best way to simultaneously remote into macbook air

I'm looking for the best way to remote into a new macbook air from a pc. Preferably, a way to do this so that my girlfriend can also be on it at the same time. I also have a pretty old (~2006) intel imac that I could use if that is easier. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What exactly are you looking to do? There are a variety of remote access techniques (some of which are built into OS X) but they all have different capabilities and limitations. If you go to System Preferences > Sharing, there are two options that might be of interest. One is screen sharing which will allow someone to graphically access your Mac. The other is remote login which is a command line based access.

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to use CodeX for developing apps. Because this requires the full GUI, I would like to have a full desktop. It would be great if I could log in over my home network without even having to touch the macbook.

The screen sharing functionality built in should do the job. Give that a try.
