How can i find, whether my MAC is connected with USB Drivers or not.

Hi All,
I am developing a application on MAC, which will send a notifaction to the User , If any USB pen driver is connected to that machine..my Application will send a message to the USER.
So i would like to know, how can i detect , whether the USB drive is connected with my machine or not?..

G'day and welcome to the forums.

When you connect the pen drive, it will appear on the desktop. If it does not go into Finder > Preferences and make sure the 'Show these items on my Desktop' are selected.
