iMacG4 Cube 17 Monitor -need advice on purchase

I am in the process of buying a G4 I mac w 17 in monitor w 2GB mem and 80 GB w 10.4.1
is there any down side to this purchase
it for just for simple applications word processing , internet browsing , photo shop and Netflix for a high school student

How is the power issue w the cube and and trends on any hardware failure ?

Is it an iMac or is it a Cube as you seem a little confused as to what you want? The Cube was the forerunner of the Mac Mini and if you do a Google you will find Cube owners forums on the 'net. This is a G4 cube:-

Later Minis were faster:-

Whatever it is upgrade the OS to X.4.11 for starters and PowerPC processors have limitations but will do what you ask well, particularly if it is a later 1.25GHz or faster iMac.
