Transfering library

I successfully copied my friend's itunes library from his laptop to my external hard drive. I know the transfer was complete because it will play on my home pc using iTunes, but when I try to play the music on my mac it won't do it. Any ideas?

You do know that's not legal? Maybe your external drive and Mac know it, too...
