Ah! Trying to copy a file from external drive, white "no can do" symbol...

I'm trying to copy a 4 gig file from an external hard drive onto my desktop.

BUT, when I try, there is a a white "no can do" icon... I have no idea why.

I have permissions on both the file and of course my desktop...

This is a major PITA, anybody have any ideas?

edit: finally! Took me installing another FTP client (I hate CyberDuck, fyi

) to figure out the file wasn't copying due to a file limit.

Anyway, itnore the Picture 1.png file, that's not what I'm trying to copy.. it's the gray box below (the filename was just not visible)

Is it a windows machine you're trying to copy it to?
If it is and it's formatted as FAT32, you're not going to bet a 4GB file onto it.

No no, I'm copy FROM an external FAT32 drive, TO my MBP's harddrive (which I'm assuming is formatted however macs are formatted by default).
