Hi. This is my first post so bear with me. I recently purchased a new Imac 20 inch Intel Core 2 Duo with 1 Gb memory. I would like to upgrade to 2 gb, but apple charged too much. According to the site I need PC2-5300 SODIMMs. I have researched and found the following brands (are certain brands better?). Which of these would you recommend.

Thanks

You can do it easier and in less time than it took you to unpack and plug in your iMac. Search this forum for pictures. REALLY easy.

Ok...any other recommendations...should I just get crucial? Installation looks very easy from the manual.

I bought my RAM from Other World Computing (OWC) - I was very happy with their support and they ship their products really fast (I also bought an external HDD for backups from OWC).

From what I read on the forums, you can't go wrong with either OWC or Crucial.

just ordered an upgrade for my iMac 2.8 (4GB). I used crucials website myself. There system scanner is excellent. For the 4GB pack (2x2GB) it cost me £100 GBP, so about 50 dollars I would imagine. Thats delivered.

I chose crucial because of their reputation and excellent website.
