Ipod classic ?

Hi , new to forum and need little help with my 160g classic 18 months old wont work unless in ipod dock sound unit .Works great but when removed all stops and some times a battery with yellow ! mark .Apple help line wont help as it is not warranty ?.what can I do or test ie battery etc thanks for any info Paul

It sounds like you need a battery replacement and I would let Apple look at it and diagnose and replace.

Mine did the same thing you need to get a new battery. If you do it your self it is not that hard if you know what you are doing.

There are loads of companies offering this service too, and they are cheaper than Apple. Have a google around, you may even find you will get a bigger capacity battery.
