VMWare Fusion, XP, Netflix and heat issues

I have a Macbook Pro 2.4 with 4 gigs of ram. I am running the latest version of VMware Fusion and a virtual xp machine that is patched to the latest version. When I run netflixs and use the watch now feature to view movies I notice the fans and temp keep increasing and increasing to the point that I begin to wonder if my laptop is going to hover or melt. Is this common with VMWare Fusion, xp and running video or is it possible I have something setup incorrectly that causes these issues... This is my first mac so at a loss... I have a tech email into VMWare but the seem surprised that is is happening.

I run the Watch Instantly on Boot Camp without any problems at all

Your Mac will shut down before anything seriously bad happens. If you're running it with the LCD closed, you may want to open it up to better dissipate heat.

VMWare Tech Support

I submitted my problem to VMWare tech support and they responded within 24 hours. They wanted me to uninstall (with a few additional steps) and then reinstall VMWare fusion. To be honest I thought this was just their way putting me off but I did it and it does to appear to have made a difference. I am now seeing temps at around 180+ with fan speeds at around 3500 rpms. After about 5 minutes of watching the temps and rpms return to normal... This beats the 200 temps and 5000 rpm speeds I was seeing at first.

So... needless to say I am pleasantly surprised. Thanks to those who responded.
