Canon Pixma iP5200 vs Epson R340

My Epson StylusC86 just died and I need to replace it. I've always used Epsons but Consumer Report recommends the Canon Pixma 5200 above the Epson R340. It appears the Canon is faster and the ink cartridges are cheaper. Anyone have the Canon or can give me some good advice for a printer in the under $200 price range?
I use the printer for home photos and miscellaneous text printing.

Epsons are poorly made. I've had 2, and I know a couple of people whose Epsons have also gone kaput.

I now use a Canon Pixma IP4000 and it's been great for the year I've had it.

i prefer nikons over cannon, and definately cannon over epson
