Need Help

Okay,

I am a new member to this site, never posted before so if I have posted this in the wrong place forgive me. I attend a University that blocks access to file sharing networks like Limewire or Poisoned. I messed around with the proxies a bit as well as some other settings as suggested to me by a friend to try to get around the firewall, to no avail. I AM NOT ASKING HOW TO BYPASS THE firewall, but now when i take my computer home or to areas where file sharing networks were previously accessed easily, i still cant connect, even when off the schools network. I probably changed something i shouldnt have, and dont know what it is to fix it. Any help is useful, also is there a way just to restore the sharing and network settings to how they were when i first had the computer. I am running OS X 10.4 on a 14" iBook.

Thanks
