New i7 Imac ram upgrade?

24" Imac 2.8GHz Core 2 duo, 4 GB and other stuff I don't know crap about.
Stupid question I know but can Imacs Ram be upgraded. like if i buy one with 4GB can I upgrade it to 8 or the full 16 GB later?

Yes, there is a slot on the bottom of the display that gives you access to the RAM slots. You can upgrade the open slots with memory to get to 8GB, to go beyond, you'll likely have to replace all the default memory with higher density sticks..

Yes, it is very easy to upgrade the ram. If you buy the standard 4 gb, you will only be able to upgrade to 8 gb without having to replace the 2 gb ram sticks it came with standard. I think 8 gb is plenty of ram to do just about anything and it's a lot cheaper than going with the full 16 gb but it's your choice.
