My Macbook Pro fell a short distance a little while ago, but it seemed there was no damage. I then realized that it had landed where the power cord was plugged in, and now that piece is dented.

As of now the power cord plugs in just fine, but i wanted to know if i should have this looked at. I have AppleCare, would that cover a damage like this?

if applecare covers it, why not seek a free fix ?

use that extra money you paid to ensure the best resell or trade in value ?

Yeah, they don't cover things like dropping laptops or spilling water on them. Worth a try I guess, but I don't think it's likely that they will repair it.
