ipod touch 2g 2.2 update problem

I don't have the internet at my place so when I made my way over to my parents I jumped at the chance to update my ipod touch from the 2.1.1 to the 2.2. Unfortunately now after I updated all my apps that I download start up and then crash. Just wondering if anyone here has run into that problem themselves? And how you fixed it. I googled and the only thing I really found was a youtube vid of a kid who ran into the same problem probably 3 weeks ago but never posted if he fixed it or not.

I re-downloaded and tried to restore it. Still same problem. Any thoughts?
