Question about Touch upgrade packages

Are the software upgrade packages cumulative in that I'll need to buy and install January's upgrades in order to buy and install, say, June's upgrades? Also, will the upgrades from January be automatically included in June's upgrades or would I miss out on those completely?

****...I've been wanting to find out that same thing. I really hope Apple doesn't screw us Itouch ppl over again.
