Mac book shuts down without power adapter!

My Macbook 1.83 Ghz, bought last summer, shuts down if it is not connected to the power adapter. I am not a computer expert so could you help me please.
I research but all the people only speak about a random shut down not related to whether the power adapter is plugged in or out. I gues the battery is broke, but i have no clue. Thanks for help.

Sounds like the battery is dead or dying. Call applecare or take it to a shop to organise a swap-out.

yeah propably go to the mac shop and see whether it works with a battery swap.

My brother had this problem and he brought it up to the apple store they gave him a new battery and now it works fine.
