iPad help

Just to keep this short my wife bought an I Pad wi fi 32gb , our computer is an old I Mac 2ghz power pc g5 running os x 10.4.11 . Is there anything that we can do so that she can use her I Pad or do we just have to return it . Cannot afford a new mac right now and this one works fine for my needs . What do i do .

According to this URL the iPad will work with Leopard 10.5.8. That you can purchase and upgrade your iMac. I would try it on my old iMac G5 with 10.5.8 but it's over at a friends house.

Or take it back and wait until iOS 5 comes out sometime in the next couple of months. At that time, you're suppose to be able to use it without the need for connecting it to your computer.
