On 10.4 i was accustomed to going straight to disc utility any time I started to have a problem or after installing new software, I guess this habit just kind of carried over lol, but the disc utility on leopard moves SOOOOOOOOO slow.
so here are my questions
1. is it necessary to check disk permissions routinely?
2. Why does it estimate about a minute to repair, and actually take over a half an hour?
