I have recently bought a Time Capsule, but I haven't been able to get it working. I'll summarize:
iMac is running on Mac OSX 10.7.5
3.4 Ghz processor
8GB RAM
The TC is connected to the mac but has no ethernet connection (I was assured this was not necessary). I prefer to do it that way, because that way the TC can be placed next to the MAC rather than at the location of the router.
Installation using AirPort goes smoothly, TimeCapsule preferences are set. And then, for some reason I don't know yet, sometime between the configuration and actually running the back-up I lose connection. Reconnecting is only possible after resetting the TC, restarting mac and the process repeats itself.
I had contact with Apple support, who ran me through installation (no differences there), but without any luck.
Does anyone recognise this problem? Am I missing something obvious?
