Question About Dead Pixels

I have one dead pixel on my new PowerBook G4.
I'm not complaining, as I know that with LCD monitors they are somewhat common and in some cases you can have several before the company will even do anything about it.
But that doesn't change the fact that it is definitely a slight bummer.
Do any of you know any way to fix or get rid of dead pixels?

It's a generally accepted fact you can massage a frozen pixel (i.e one that is stuck in a certain color) back to normal. You can't do this with a dead one I believe. A dead one is one that's permanently black. I've had my 17" pb since August 2004 and I have one dead pixel. It's a bummer but you can hardly notice it.

I don't think mine is exactly dead, then...
When the screen area where the pixel in question is located is a red color it usually shows white... so I should be able to rub the screen and have it come back?

Go on and try rubbing the area gentle. That just might bring that pixel back to working order.

I had one of those and all I had to do was massage it for a few minutes and then i cleaned the area with a moist paper towel and it has been alive since then
