apple hard drive data removal

hi. i have several of the old macbooks (white) that no longer power up but have data on them. besides going to apple and paying them to remove the data is there a rig I can buy to connect just the hard drive to so i can download the data once i remove the hard drive?

Yeah, you can either get a hard drive dock like the Thermaltake BlacX or an external hard drive enclosure.

I have both of those devices and either one will work nicely. If a drive is very old (IDE drive) the Newer Tech will handle that as well. Not all of the drive dock devices handle those drives.
