New Mac user wants to Upgrade Ram

Hi Guys,
Im a new Mac user and have a few questions regarding a ram upgrade,
My Mac is an old model as i didnt want to jump right into using a Mac and spend to much money on a brand new model,
My machine is = Imac
Imac 5.1
Mac OSX
Version 10.5.8
Processor 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 1GB 667 MHZ DDR2 SDRAM,

Im looking to upgrade the Ram on this machine and would be very gratefull on of any help or advise ye may be able to give me,
one question i have is what would be the max amount of ram i could put into this machine?
ive found this ram online and am wondering if this would do for my machine
Apple Memory Module 2GB 667MHz DDR2 (PC2-5300) 2x1GB SO-DIMMs - Apple Store (Republic of Ireland)

Your iMac is a late 2006 20" model which can take up to 4 GB of memory, however, it will only address 3 GB. But it's best to install 2 x 2 GB modules for maximum speed and symmetrical purposes.

The memory it uses is: 2 - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM.
