Mail not working with Gmail - only getting sent items

I set up my mail app to work with gmail (or should I say I'm trying to). I think I have everything right - have checked the guides, but it's not working - all I'm getting in my mail inbox are gmail's sent item from years ago (literally)

Help please! :Oops:
