I am currently having a 'problem watching TV programs through my iPad with Apple TV. (or through apple TV with iPad, whichever is correct)

For some reason the sound has stated coming through but not the picture, although the iPad displays the 'TV' screen as if it is working normally.

This has started happening in the last week, where the internet connection speed has not changed. When I check the speed it is always approx. 3.8mb.

Has anyone else found this problem arising? And do you know if there is a setting that I have inadvertently clicked?

many thanks

Does it happen with all apps?
Which version of iOS on ATV and iPad?

Hi Mrplow. not sure which version of ATV it is, although i can say it was upgraded about 6 weeks ago. The iPad is IOS 5.

They were both working seamlessly before chrimbo and now the problem exists..

i am streaming from ITV Player app only

cheers

I think it's an ITV Player problem.

I've tried it on my iPad and iPhone it it only passes audio on ITV Player.

BBC iPlayer, 4oD and Demand5 all work fine as expected - sound and audio.

A few reviews on the App Store are commenting on the lack of AirPlay support

Yes.

4oD is Channel 4's on Demand service (they also have a YouTube channel), Demand 5 is channel Five's.

There's also CatchUpTV that streams all the UK free-to-air channels live.

thanks.

i have catchup TV but they have just banned the use of VPN's so that prohibits anyone from outside the UK using it. not sure why but i presume, money is involved...

thanks for the advice
