Illustrator CS 2 - spacebar

Hi

I'm using Illustrator CS 2 on my G5 running OS X 10.4.8.

I no longer seem to be able to use some shortcuts, like - the spacebar as my hand tool and holding down shift when resizing an object doesn't keep it in proportion anymore.

I've tried deleting my prefs and repairing the disc permissions on my hard drive. Any suggestions?

Illustrator CS 2 seems to have too many bugs and niggles for my liking. I'm constantly deleting prefs and other files when it throws a wobbly. It also likes to crash unexpectedly.

The only thing I can suggest is a reinstall.
