blue screen after changing user name

I got a blue screen after trying to change my user name. Now,having tried all the recommended steps of the OS X manual, i can not reboot having all the time a bue screen with a spinning indicator. An authorised help desk, just informed me, that a problem with "permissions" occurs. Any suggestions will be welcome.

G'day and welcome to the Forums.

Pop your Leopard install DVD in and boot from that, run Repair Disk and Repair Permissions. If no joy be prepared to do a clean install. Look at this link:-

Sounds like you changed your home folder.
