Hi,
My friend has bought me a macbook from US and he has sent it to me here in India. I would like to know how I can change the power cord for it to work efficiently in India? I am not even sure whether I am using the terms correctly. I heard of some magnetic thing in which u can just change the plug. This is my first laptop and so I have no idea how the whole power/charging works.

Pls help me

Any standard travel adaptor should do the trick for you.

Isn't there any permanent solution? Where I can just change the type of plug directly?

If there's an Apple supplier in India you could just buy the correct power lead for your country then. The Mac itself will be fine, it's only the plug that's different, all electrical things have wide range voltage use these days.
