Hi,

I'm trying to find a m2ts converter for Mac and don't mind paying for it if it is decent. I'm looking for quality and speed. There are many out there, does anyone know which ones are best?

Check out Squared 5 - MPEG Streamclip video converter for Mac OS X. I think it will do what you need among a variety of other things. I am not sure whether it needs the QuickTime MPEG component to handle those files or not but MPEG Streamclip is free and the QT component is only about $20.00 and well worth the money.

The current version of Handbrake (0.94) also works with .m2ts and will convert to .mkv or .mp4/.m4v

There's also VoltaicHD, but it's slow as molasses.
