When I unplug my headphones from my macbook pro, a red light turns on from inside the headphone jack, inside the computer. Weird. So now when my headphones are unplugged, I cannot hear any music. I cannot even adjust the volume, which is stuck at full, yet no music comes out. So as of right now, my only option to listen to music on my macbook is to do so with headphones. Anyone else encounter this?

Much thanks,

Cody

It happens, albeit pretty rare. The optical output gets stuck in the on position.

You can take it to Apple - or do as many others have done - I used a toothpick - slide it in - just want to tickle it in there around the perimeter - it'll turn off - mines only done it once in over 2 years.

Thank you very much! That solved the problem. :D
