Strange Noise from key board

I have had my macbook since 2006 and have had very few problems. I noticed today that when my macbook is tilted at a certain angle, a dripping/crackling noise goes down the keyboard (inside) like there is something in there but it does not do it every time I do it. I read other posts about hard drive issues but those seem to be in the macbook pro's and without being tilted. Has anyone else ever had this issue?
