Hi,
Have been trying for some days now to set up a wireless printing network with limited success. My gears/set-up:
Equipment:
1. Macbook & Mac Mini, both running Tiger
2. DLink DSL-G604T Modem/Wireless Router
3. DLink DPR-1061 Print Server
4. HP Officejet All-In-One 5610
Connection:
- Macs connected to wireless router
- Printer connected to Print Server using USB connection
- Print Server to Modem/Router using cable
Software:
1.hpijs 3.9.2
2.foomatic-rip 4.0.2
3.ghostscript 8.64
Selected HP Officejet 5600 as the closest to my printer from the add printer list.
In case anyone wondering why I chose open printing it's because DPR-1061 does not support HP 5610. During set-up this model does not appear in the printer list and after searching the net I came across the Linux Foundation
OpenPrinting/MacOSX/hpijs - The Linux Foundation
Outcome:
Both Macs can connect to printer wireless (running Word,Powerpoint,Excel) but only partial print output(like 10%) & wrong orientation everytime.
Have adjusted for page setup in respective programs but results remain the same.
Can anyone help me resolve this issue? BTW I have posted a similar msg in the forum at Linux Foundation site but have yet to get any reply
Help anyone? Many thanks
