Bootcamp with windows XP!

If I set up bootcamp and obviously partion part of my drive for windows xp, is it just as easy to delete that partion (and everything on it) and restore all of my hard drive back to mac osx?

Yes. Just run the Boot Camp Assistant from OS X, select "create partition", then select "restore". The XP partition will be removed resulting in the entire drive being restored to OS X.
