Is it possible to set a single key to be a keyboard shortcut? (ie "1" as a shortcut for "fn-F1")? Thanks. :D

System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts > +

Use fkeys

Hitting "1" will get you a "1" which is exactly what you want it to do.
