iMac RAM upgrade?

Hi,
I wanted to know what the maximum mount of ram i could put in my iMac.
I am currently using 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
Can I upgrade this? and if so, by how much can I?

There were two 24" iMac models with a 3.06ghz cpu (a 2008 & a 2009 model). If you have 800mhz ram, then you probably have the 2008 model. It can be upgraded to 6 gig of ram...the 2009 model can be upgraded to 8 gig of ram.

This is definitely an upgrade you can do.

RAM Memory Upgrade: Dell, Mac, Apple, HP, Compaq. USB drives, flash cards, SSD at Crucial.com is also another good site to visit.

They have an application that will tell you everything about your memory subsystem. No. of slots, what configurtion is already in place, max amount of memory etc etc
