Hey guys, just bought myself a macbook pro 13". I love it, i am new here but have had an imac for a while. I sold the imac and got this macbook pro, i cant get over this thing and im loving it :). I just wanted to upgrade my ram, it came with 2gb ram and i want to put atleast 4gb. Any sites or anyone selling ram? I am looking to spend as less as possible ;) thank you guys.

Also owc has 4gb memory but its 1066mhz and my laptop has 1067 mhz, does that matter?

The bus speed is 1066mhz, where are you seeing it listed as 1067mhz?

I would also recommend either Crucial or OWC. You might be able to find cheap, off-brand memory, but trust me on this... it's not worth the couple of dollars you'll save. Memory problems can be very tricky to nail down and will cause all kinds of weird issues. There's nothing worse than going on a memory-related wild goose chase, trying to keep a machine stable.

i understand what you are saying, i was just looking to save some $, when i click on "about this mac" my memory 2GB DDR3 1067mhz shows. But on the owc website it shows only 1066mhz.

i understand what you are saying, i was just looking to save some $, when i click on "about this mac" my memory 2GB DDR3 1067mhz shows. But on the owc website it shows only 1066mhz.

The 1067 is likely rounded up and System Profiler is displaying the actual bus speed, whereas the 1066 rating you see on the memory is the name of the standard.
