G5 iMac 'noise'...

I'm looking at buying either a G4 or G5 iMac - 20" screen models. I've heard that the new G5 iMac is substantially more 'noisy' in everyday use (the fan?) than the G4 model (because the G5 chip runs hotter). Is this true or a load of....

Well my fans have a constant squeally whistling noise coming out of them. it's quiet annoying. But when your doing something complex, the fans should come on like any other mac.

By the way....

The G4 is way quieter. I used it in a store and i couldn't even hear it. But if i were you i'd go with the G5. Just for performance...
