Sharing a contact list

I am very new to an IMac. I have successfully downloaded my Contacts list from my PC but am having problems downloading my wife's. We have two separate accounts on the iMac but can we share the same contacts list at least initially. If so, how?

What application were you using in Windows and how did you export them?

A simple way to share contacts with another person is to use a syncing service such as iCloud or Google's and use the same account in each user account on your machine. That way, any changes made to one will be made in the other with the added benefit that other devices can access the same info (smartphones for example).
