Processor Upgrade?

So I've heard endless talk about G3 to G4 upgrades (long story, I know it's an outdated topic)... but I'm curious, I have a MacBook(1,1) with the core duo. I'm going to be doing a lot of programming in the near future for school and some independent work... is it possible to upgrade to a Core 2 Duo? Theoretically it should be the same socket, but would the board support it?

No can do, sorry, it's welded to the board, you cannot upgrade the processor. You can upgrade the memory up to 2GB in a 1,1 MB.
