Xtorrent for Mac problem... Desperate.

Good day, I've just purchased the Pro version of Xtorrent ($40) and now I'm trying to download... Seems I'm caught in an infinite loop or something. What ever file I try to download (and yes, I've tried one at a time), just says connecting... And never really gets to the downloading part. Ugh, even one tiny song won't download. I've heard nothing but good reviews and good experiences people have had with Xtorrent. So why is mine not working? I have a brand-new 2013 MacBook Pro 13" with the 2.9 GHz Core i7 processor. So what on earth is the problem? :( Did I just flush forty bucks? Please help!!!
