Will this memory work in a 2009 macbook pro?

I know it is out of stock but it does come back into stock regularly.

I also know that I can get the crucial 8500 for 10 more a stick but if the faster one works(even though it will only read it at 8500) why not save the money?

Yes they will work. The Crucial will downclock itself to 1066mhz tho so don't expect it to say 1333mhz speed on the computer.

Crucials website you just select the mac you have and the options you have on your mac and it will give you the exact ram you need. I bought mine from there on my 09 mbp. I paid 74$ canadian after taxes for 1066mhz 4 gb of ram 2 years ago.
