I keep getting a network disconnect message every 30-min. I Looked at SysPref - Network and Network Utilities but cannot find any settings regarding connection time-out. (OS SL v 10.6.7)

Am I looking in the wrong place...? Thanks

Using wired or wireless?

Using WEP? Change it to WPA/WPA2.

You might have the old "internet connect" (dial-up and early TCP/IP) program running on startup, which would be giving you these sorts of messages. Does it in fact disconnect you after 30 minutes?

Thanks...found it under Network --->PPP...which allows user to set a time limit on dial-up connection. My was defaulted to 30-min....fixed! Thanks Again!
