Hi guys,

Just got a macbook pro recently and i was trying to find a VPN and i installed IPSecuritas i cant find it anymore on my comuter like under the applications BUT i still have the IPSecuritas icon on the top bar next to the blutooth icon, wifi, volume icons.

I really need help getting rid of this, i right click on it there is no quit or 'move to trash' option.

Thanks in advance guys

Did you drag the app to the trash?

Did you look in System Preferences for it?

If you dragged the app to the trash, you need to re-download it, re-install it, then use the uninstaller that is packaged with it.

edited post above - see it.

General rule of thumb:
Never drag applications to the trash that you didn't drag to the application folder to start with.
Any apps that use an installer / ask for your password to install should also have an uninstaller.
The reason for installers is that they are often putting files into the system folders and their uninstaller needs to be run to remove all of those files.
