• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hey everyone,

I have a bit of a dilemma and would love a little help. It might require a little thinking and reading from some of you out there, but hopefully someone can sift through this and give me a hand.

Well, I'm going to start College this coming fall and I plan to major in Film. I love it. I love writing scripts for movies, filming them, acting in them (although I'm not that good) and even editing them. The whole kit and kaboodle. On youtube I've submitted around 50 videos, some way better than others, but all of them are pretty mediocre and unnoticed.

My main problem is that once I get a half way decent idea for a video, I'm so excited to get it on the net for people to see that I rush through it and make some joe-schmoe average clip that dosent even seem good to me once it's done. It's a really frustrating and ultimately disappointing process that I'm trying to get better at avoiding.

That being said, ideas usually come to me no problem. But as of right now I've been thinking, what hasn't been done on youtube or other video broadcasting sites? What would be special? So I don't want you guys reading this post to think I'm asking, HEY I NEED IDEAS FOR VIDS KAN YOO GUYS HELP ME? Cause I'm not. I am curious as to what some of you would be interested to see in a video.

I'd make a poll but there are so many different types of videos that it's almost pointless. So if you feel like it just post a reply with the type of video you might be interested in. You don't have to get specific with a subject or anything, even something like Documentary is fine. Just something to get my brain working and something that will allow me to understand what some people want to see.

I appreciate any feedback, advice or suggestions.

So far I've got:
