Hey all, this post is a final attempt to get things working before i seriously bust a nut or something similar. All advice and help will be greatly appreciated!!

Alright so i am new to the whole apple side of things, the only true reason i have purchased a mac is so i can run Logic, the bees knees in audio production - which atm is failing me!

Purchased my mac about a month ago, (so it came with leopard) while i was waiting for Logic Studio to arrive i used bootcamp to install xp on a partion, purely for gaming purposes. I then recieved Logic and it doesn't run at all on leopard. I searched numerous other sites and came to the conclusion that i need to install Tiger if i want to run Logic.

I now have Tiger 10.4.8 with the complete update to take it 10.4.11 but i cannot install it. I tried using bootcamp to create another partion but it said it was going to delete the windows partion, which i didnt want so i ditched that effort. I then did some research and found out that it needed to be deleted and it should be erased using disk utility

I followed the instructions, with no success. The "windows" partion is still there, and theres still a little information on it. (12 folders and like 50mb's that the erase option seemed to skip)

So...

Can anybody please give me some pointers in the right direction? I just spent over $6000 getting my mini studio up, really need it to be running aswell!!

What can i do to get things cranking? I have leopard 10.5.2, Tiger 10.4.8 with the 10.4.11 update, Logic Studio and Windows XP and would love it if they all played nicely together. It dosent bother me if i have to ditch Leopard for the mean time until updates come out, all i need is for logic to work and for me to be able to switch to windows on the occasion.

Sorry for the mega post and if i have posted this in the wrong thread :)

Cheers in advance, Ali

You could start over. Seperate into 3 partitions. (if needed) Could have Leopard, Tiger and XP.

This should help.

Afterwards, Disk Utility should work. Use the Erase and Install option and partition if needed. (may want to use the "zero" option, too)
