I am wondering if there is any way to turn off the iPod video besides just putting it to sleep. I ask not because I want to save battery (it gets way more battery life than I ever actually need), but because I want to make the calendar alarms not go off when I'm not using it. When I let it sit or hold the play button, then later a calendar appointment comes, the iPod turns on and shows the message. I would like to make it so it doesn't do that. Any way of doing so? I'm guessing "deep sleep" or "hibernate" (I don't know the difference between these two, they sound identical) will do this, but is there a way to force it into deep sleep without having to wait 36 hours (I usually use the iPod more than once ever 36 hours, but still want it in deep sleep)? Thanks.
