Favourites within Contacts

I have marked contacts down as favourites within my contact app on iphone 4S however the contacts have not synced as favourites on my ipad new generation. Do i need to add as favourites seperately on iPad or should they of synced?

Assuming you use iCloud for contacts . . . Are you using the same AppleID on both devices?

I am using the cloud and I do use the same apple ID. I also entered a fictitious name on one device and checked it appeared on the other and it did so I know the cloud syncing is functional.

I don't think there is a 'favourites' view on the iPad?

You can only access them from FaceTime but after a bit of investigation I don't think they are synced between devices
