Help Requested for iPad setting

Greetings.

I just purchased two iPad mini's for my daughters as Christmas gifts.
They are the WiFi models, no cellular.

Question:
How do I set it up so that is receives iMessages from their iPhone numbers?

The way they are both set up now is that they receive iMessages from my iPhone number.

I have them both on our family Apple ID account. We all use this with 4 iPhones and two iPod touches and an iPod 2 and it works fine with those but I cannot find where to change the number on these mini's.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to iMessage the email of the Apple ID. The Minis don't have their own numbers.

Yes, But the mini is set up automatically to also receive messages sent to my iPhone number when I link them to my Apple ID. Is it possible to change that number for each mini to a different number?
