Hello I just got a 26 inch Samsung HDTV. I was wondering if I can connect it to my macbook via mini DVI to a DVI to HDMI cable. The resolution of the TV is 1366 x 768. If I use HDMI will the macbook support the whole resolution in mirror mode? If not then what's a way I can connect it so that I can get the whole resolution of the TV? thanks

It should work fine with most of the newer HDTV's.

I do the same with my MBP (except I don't need the adapter) on my 720p LCD.

Pretty much all 720p LCD HDTV's are 1366 x 768 native rather than the actual 1280 x 720. On my Sony, I set the output of my Mac to 1280 x 720. This is the signal accepted by the TV, which then internally converts the signal to it's native 1366 x 768 resolution.

Alright,
I have a question for you guys. I have my MBP connected to my HDTV. However, I select 1280x720. The picture just does not fit the television screen. Is there a fix for this or will I just have to get a DVI to VGA cable?

I'm currently using a DVI to HDMI cable.

Thanks

You may want to check the overscan options on the TV.
Not all of them will have this option user adjustable.
